With this Bizerba takes into account the growing requirements of intra-logistical processes. With the new series the weighing technology specialists make dynamic weighing, combined with the control of goods and material flows possible. At the end of the day it is all down to precision, flexibility and speed in logistics, warehousing and dispatch. Bizerba fulfils this with the CWL Eco with fail-safe string technology, which is the only weighing method to measure mass and not weight. This technology offers the advantage especially for plant engineering and system providers of being calibrated regardless of the installation location.
According to Bizerba the integration into existing conveyor systems is ensured by a flexible frame construction, a drive concept free of protruding edges, as well as a variety of belt dimensions up to 1,600 mm long and the comprehensive interface structure. CWL Eco is “communicative like no other” due to up to 12 in/outputs, DP Profibus, TCP/IP and serial interfaces as well as DPV0 and DPV1 simple scale protocols and the optional data transfer via SMS. “The CWL Eco can be integrated with almost no effort into existing packaging dispatch systems, sorting systems and feeding lines. The weighing with integrated volume determination is also one of the application options just like the filling amount and unit weight control and completeness and quality controls”, explains Dieter Conzelmann, Director of Industry Solutions Market at Bizerba.
In addition the checkweigher with a conveyor speed of up to 2 m/s has different programmes like counting, tolerance control, series error detection, totalling – supplemented by availability and device status request. The respective product recognition takes place via sensors like barcode readers, says Conzelmann. Simple and quick configuration is guaranteed by the Bizerba “Configuration Tool" software.
The CWL Eco with calibratable data storage for weight, volume and accompanying data is also compatible of course with Bizerba printing systems, for example it can be connected to the GLM-B and GLM-L logistics labelling systems or the log printer. Bizerba supplies the CWL Eco in individually modifiable expansion stages, with or without sequence and belt control for standalone operation or in a production plant.
The Bizerba Industry Application Team is available to develop mechanical, control and data solutions for you for all applications which can not be covered by the standard product.
